Date: 24 Sept 2010 (Actual Day: 29 Sept 2010)
Venue: Tawandang Dempsey Cluster (Thai Food)
Block 26 Dempsey Road #01-01 S'pore 249686
Gathering Theme: Purple (My favourite color)

I would say this is the BEST THAI restaurant I ever had in Singapore. Both the food and enviroment worth a 4/5 rating from me. I'm not a Thai food fans, but the dishes here is real nice. The most recommended dish is the prawn at the right top corner. They named it Nutty Prawn. You need to dip the prawn with their special sauce (nuts) and wrap it with the cabbage together with the tang hun. I had a surprise with its deliciousness!

The enviroment in restaurant is great too. They have live band performance in house and all the singers sing very well. All the lighting and ambient in the restaurant is at a JUST RIGHT condition, and we enjoy ourselves very much.

坤記糕品專家
Shop 10, 115-117 Fuk Wah Street, Sham Shui Po

澳洲牛奶公司
G/F, 47 Parkes Street, Jordan

We wake up early in the morning . The queue is much more better than Tim Hou Wen. We able to go into the busy café shop immediately. It was a very local HK style café shop with a lot of uncle speaking Canto Mandarin. You will feel shocked with their attitude (alil bit loud voice making you to think that they are scolding you). But infact, they are quite nice people. However, importantly, their food is not bad. Their standard menu for breakfast is Scrambled Egg or Sunny Egg + Toast + Ham Macaroni. Besides, we also ordered their specialties food, Milk Pudding. Three of us agreed that this milk pudding is better than the one we had in Macau

新翠華小廚
Shop GF4, 2/F Java Road Municipal Services Building, North Point
This restaurant is located in an isolated place. Inside a wet market building. We tot we found the wrong place as we passed by alot of stalls before reaching this place.
It is famous for their claypot rice which is cooked with charcoal. it does rice crustily well using charcoal stoves that are near-extinct. They have various type of toppings from the ordinary sausage chicken to extra ordinary XO醬鴨甫煲. We ordered two type , Taro Minced Meat and XO醬鴨甫煲. It taste delicious!!!

美都餐室
G/F, 63 Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei
This café shop is the oldest traditional HK tea restaurant. Some blogger said that it appeared in many HK film production.(无间到). But we asked the auntie there, she said no. However, the scene is quite similar..The scene where Tony Leung being found out as the betrayal.
Anyway, food is the most important! Their pork chop rice is really fabolous. Unlike other 焗豬扒飯 which always consists of cheese, this cafe's is pure tomato and pork only. But it taste very pure. I like it soso much. Besides, we also ordered their french toast , milk red bean, polo yao.

This café is famous for their cheap 燒鵝瀨粉, 燒臘飯. This is my first time eating 燒鵝. It taste a lot better than duck meat. Smoother meat and the skin is very crispy. Besides, we also ordered 叉烧。 Theirs is different from what we had in Spore. It taste like stewed pork.

蘭芳園茶餐廳
Shop 26, LG, Chung King Mansion (Woodhouse), 36-44 Nathan Road , Tsim Sha Tsui

This café is just located besides my hostel. They remain the antiqueness decoration which make us feel like turn back to oldies time. I went here two times in a day for my breakfast and dinner. Their famous specialties are "silky milk tea","pork-chop buns" and "mixed instant noodles". Inside this café, you can also find a lot of Alan Tam posters on the wall. I guess the boss is fans of him.

好彩海鮮酒家
UG1, Empire Centre, 68 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

We had our last breakfast at this high class restaurant which has a Victoria HK View. The food is superb nice and cheap. (We thought it would be expensive as we enter the restaurant). For all the food we ordered, it only cost us HKD135 (S$27)!! HK Dim Sum is really wonderful. I love their Cha Siu Bao, Siu Mai, Har Kao, Congee, Custard Bun ,and almost all of them!

Wong Chi Kei 黃枝記粥麵
Travessa de Cinco de Outubro 51, R/C, Macau

This is a recommended café shop in a lot of travel blog. It is located in center of Senado Square (just opposite MacDonald). The noodle house is famous for hand-making noodles with bamboo stick and one of their signature dishes is shrimp roe noodles (蝦子麵).
Besides, we also ordered their specialties food , Macau Pork Chop. Personally, their foods taste not that good.Alot of people recommended another cafe, Cheong Kei which is also selling shrimp roe noodles. So, gotta give them a try next time!

Yee Shun Milk Company
There are a few Yee Shun chain outlets in Macau and the main branch is conveniently located at Senado Square. (Along the walkway from Grand Lisboa to Senado Square. They are famous for their “shuang pi dun nai” (双皮炖奶). We ordered 2 bowl, one is hot original flavour and another one is cold Red Bean Flavour. This dessert taste better in hot.

Margaret’s Portuguese egg tart
G/F, 17A Rua Alm Costa Cabral R/C, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Macau
Margaret’s Cafe e Nata is also located near Senado Square which is very near to Grand Lisboa hotel. We cant really manage to find this shop ourselves, but no worry, we asked some locals around and they get us the right direction to this famous cafe.
The portugese tart here is really faboulous!! The taste of the egg is so nice!!

Photobucket

2nd station: Taipa Village
Taipa Village also have a lot of recommended nice food. We came here by taking free shuttle bus at City Of Dream Casino. (Which is just opposite Venetian Macau Resort)

Gelatina Mok Yi Kei
Small and unpretentious at a corner of the street.Gelatina Mok Yi Kei is popular for its desserts like durian ice-cream, puddings and jellies. We ordered Caramel Pudding as my bro do not eat durian. But it taste nice too!

Pastelaria Fong Kei (晃记饼家)
This bakery has been around since 1906 or even earlier! Their famous pastries are “bridal cakes” (老婆饼), “meat puff pastry” (肉切酥),almond cakes and the list goes on. I only bought their meat puff pastry and it taste superb nice!!Regretted for not buying more more more.

Photobucket

San Hou Lei bakery cafe (新好利咖啡饼店)
This cake shop is famous for their bird’s nest egg tarts. This is the first time trying bird’s nest egg tarts. Frankly, the bird’s nest egg tart is simply egg custard filled with a luxury ingredient – the bird’s nest! It’s less eggy and less sweeter than Portuguese egg tart but still delectable and definitely worth a try.

Photobucket

Cafe Tai Lei Loi Kei (大利来记咖啡室)
The most famous pork chop bun in Macau per recommended. However, we not manage to try their most famous dish as it only start selling after 230pm. But not to upset, we still ordered 2 different type of pork chop from this stall. One is Polo Bao Pork Chop and another one is Pork Chop in bread. Still not bad , but too many pork chop bun really decrease my level of desperation. Besides, we also ordered Curry Fish Ball which is not our favourite type of food
